 GeoVision Unveils the GV-Hybrid LPR Camera, 84-HLPR10R-R01U

The GV-Hybrid LPR Camera 10R is a 1.3 MP B/W network camera specially designed for recognition of reflective license plates on vehicles traveling at 74 mph or less. With high-power LEDs and intelligent IR, the camera is able to automatically adjust the shutter speed according to scene and produce clear license plate captures even under low-light settings. The GV-Hybrid Camera 10R may capture up to two lanes in a single shot and works in environments with extreme temperatures from as low as -40°C up to 50°C. The GV-Hybrid LPR Camera 10R can be easily configured through the Web interface and supports recording and playback via GV-NVR software, which is included in the standard package.

GeoVision’s Q1 2013 certificate training, which took place 1/15-1/17, broke record with the highest turnout rate ever. Installers around the world, from the remote countries of South Africa and Turkey to the local cities in U.S., came to participate in the three day training to learn about the newest technology offered by GeoVision. Our expanding line of 50+ IP cameras was unveiled and demonstrated to illustrate the many solutions offered for various installation scenarios (i.e. 360° for hallway intersections, low-lux, IP66/IK10+ rating, hardware WDR, arctic rated, 1.3 to 5 MP options, wireless, etc). Our technicians provided hands-on training of our latest v8.56 software with detailed demonstration of the extensive embedded video analytics, as well as provided insight on integration possibilities of our various solution, such as LPR and access control. GeoVision brings high-security to the 6-stories Audi of Manhattan facility. Visentry, an installer and service provider based in New Jersey, implements an all-IP GeoVision surveillance system to include the state-of-the-art 360° fisheye camera (FE110/FE420/FE510), robust IP66-rated bullet camera (BL130/120/220/320), and the i7 Ultra Series NVR System. Juda Slomovich, Chief Operating Officer of Visentry who oversees the installation, is more than impressed by the system and in particular the fisheye cameras. “With such a large space to cover, using traditional cameras, we would have had to use much more cameras,” Juda commented, “the 360° cameras provide excellent image and the software is easy to learn. We will be recommending the system to our customers, that’s for sure.” GeoVision’s Central Monitoring software is also utilized at the Visentry monitoring station to facilitate the 24-hour monitoring service of the dealership. Authorized Audi personnel are able to view monitor and playback via iPhone and iPad through GeoVision’s embedded iView software, enabling monitoring on-the-go.

All series of GeoVision IP cameras now support ONVIF, which has extended GeoVision’s integration to 3rd-party NVR/VMS.

With the release of firmware v2.0, all series of GeoVision IP cameras are now ONVIF conformant.

GeoVision IP cameras have been bundled with free full-featured 32-channel GV-NVR, company’s professional video surveillance management system, as a complete installation solution for surveillance projects. With the support to ONVIF, the solution provides even greater value in terms of installation flexibility for security professionals.

The implementation to ONVIF is in addition to its current support to RTSP and PSIA protocols. By supporting ONVIF protocol, more than 70 models of GeoVision IP cameras will be open to 3rd-party NVR/VMS.

WDR and defog functions are now in all GeoVision IP cameras. With the release of the new firmware (V1.15), GeoVision empowers all of its IP cameras to provide WDR and defog video enhancement for better video quality. Previously, GeoVision IP cameras already provide tampering alarm, wide angle lens de-warping, and visual automation functions

PIR and white light LED in Advanced Cube Series
GeoVision has released its Cube series for easy installation for homes and stores. The model comes with a very special function PIR (passive infrared), which monitors the infrared energy that are presented within the field of view, meaning presence of human being. Together with white light LED, Cube series increases level of security by correctly identifies and alarms intruders. The series offers 1.3MP and 2MP, available in optional Wi-Fi model.

Supporting mini USB interface
A series of box camera (BX2400 and BX3400) with mini USB interface have been introduced. With mini USB, Wi-Fi connection could be supported using Wi-Fi adaptor, plug to the mini USB interface..

Upcoming products and features
GeoVision will soon release a series of vandal proof dome, fixed dome and bullet camera with motorized vari-focal lens. The cameras help installer to save time and manpower while installing and enable customer to change zoom and focus level remotely.
