- Exit out of the web interface of GV-Recording Server
- Go to the Windows System Tray and right click the Recording Server Service Manager > Stop Service
- Right click the Recording Server Service Manager again > Backup Settings. Checkmark all 4 boxes > OK. Create a file name and choose where to save the backup file
- Right click the Recording Server Service Manager again > Exit
- Go to Windows Control Panel and Uninstall the current version of GV-Recording Server
- Go to the GV-Recording Server installation folder (by default located at C:\Program Files(x86)\RecordingServer and delete this folder (If you are uncomfortable deleting this folder, you may rename it to something else. After the new version installs, a new RecordingServer folder will be created)
- Download and Install the latest version of GV-Recording Server by clicking the button in the Download column on our website (http://www.geovision.com.tw/us/download ... g%20Server)
- After installing, run the Recording Server Service Manager
- Go to Windows System Tray and right click the Recording Server Service Manager icon > Restore Settings (if this is grayed out, Stop Service first). Select your previously created backup file to restore your settings.
- Right click the Recording Server Service Manager and choose Start Service.
After completing these steps, the upgrade is complete. You may open the web interface of the GV-Recording Server to make sure all settings carried over and recording status is still active.
