IP Camera firmware UNAUTHORIZED AND ILLEGAL error message

Symptom:
When using GeoVision cameras in GeoVision software, you see an error message saying "IP Camera firmware UNAUTHORIZED AND ILLEGAL INSTALLATION/USE!!"

Solution:
This is a known issue when the drivers of the IP device are newer than the software version, so the software does not recognize the camera.
Upgrade the GV-Software and GV-IP camera firmware to the newest versions, and apply any necessary New IP Camera Patches available. All latest versions of software and firmware are available on our website.
